Position Responsibilities:
American Conference Institute is currently seeking a Marketing Manager, responsible for the creation, development and execution of business-to-business direct marketing plans and project timelines for a portfolio of conferences.
Essential Accountabilities
• Conducting marketing analysis (including analysis of previous events as well as external research) • Working directly with our internal database to select target groups • Working through list brokers and other external organizations to source lists • Working with the in-house design department to design conference marketing creative pieces and print advertisements • Working with internal telesales to promote conferences to target delegates • Vendor relations: working with mail house and marketing services vendors to execute campaign initiatives • Researching, identifying, approaching and forging marketing relationships with trade publications and associations. • Developing and managing individual campaign budgets keeping the campaigns highly cost-effective with a constant eye on ROI and the bottom line profitability
Knowledge, Skills, Ability
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
• University degree (Marketing or Business degree preferred) • 2-3 years experience within a direct marketing, business to business environment, ideally from a publishing, events, or association background • Database experience required • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills • Good attention to detail • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a team environment
